"Best Well Architected Appliance" 

This category is for the best architected XML/SOA Appliance.  This was an easy choice since Layer 7 Technologies recently updated their SecureSpan product line.  Rather than proliferate a choice of boxes; they consolidated their appliances into one feature rich box.  This make life easier for everyone and the choice for this category was and easy choice.  The best thought out and "Best Well Architected Appliance" goes to Layer 7 and their SecureSpan product line.

"Best Integration Appliance"

This category will be awarded to the integration appliance which fits the most applications and is the easiest to install.


"Best Well Integrated Appliance"

This was a no-brainer since there is only one company that offers a full suite SOA Platform that addresses SOA Network Infrastructure - the award goes to IBM Websphere Datapower Appliances 


"Best Security Appliance"

This category will be awarded to the appliance which offers the best overall security solution.



The awards are based on the sole opinion of the SOA Network Architect.  No funds have been provided in the selection of these awards and no funds will be provided with these awards.
