SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Presence Technology, Inc. today announced its formal premiere. Following more than two years of research and development, company officials have unveiled a new IT organizational paradigm—Identity Presence—and a new software solution, PresenceID, to provide unified identity and service delivery to public, private and institutional enterprises.
PresenceID provides “identity presence” by organizing and managing the relationships between users, content (files, applications and services) and other IT resources, creating a virtual identity platform from which an enterprise may securely maintain accurate user and content identity data between distributed systems. PresenceID leverages identity data to automate user, content and security provisioning, administration, and compliance reporting, complementing identity source systems identity management and administration within their respective business processes.
PresenceID is:
- Distributed – an identity platform that spans all IT resources, from host computers, client server networks and applications, and Web services that are loosely coupled in an enterprise network.
- Identity Service – deployed as a service-oriented architecture (SOA), delivering identity synchronization, virtualization, administration, management, and identity data integration.
- Transparent – independent of business process systems, platforms, applications and services, providing identity data relationship management and integration, communicated over standard Internet protocols, source system API’s, and with browser-based administration.
- Platform Agnostic – complements and extends existing identity and access management applications, and enterprise systems, platforms, applications and services. PresenceID only requires a SQL compliant database, JAVA application and standard Web servers.
- Scalable – identity synchronization and virtualization tasks are distributed between the identity source systems that originate, delete and edit identities, and the PresenceID Hub Manager and PresenceID Spoke Managers that synchronize, virtualize, manage, administer, and integrate user and content identity data.
